Canada meets America at Felicia and Mike’s wedding! A gorgeous garden ceremony featuring what seems to be the flower of the moment, bougainvillea, was touching and included the couple’s favorite songs. Later, a raucous reception including a cookie bar, signature cocktails and Canadian and American themed props went late into the night.

The Ceremony
Our ceremony was outdoors, overlooking the ocean. The vibe was lots of laughter, fun, and funny moments. My father performed the ceremony and had the entire audience laughing over funny memories of our childhoods. The minute the ceremony ended, upbeat positive house music filled the air. We walked out to “Blessed,” an Avicii remix, and our first dance was to “Drowning [in your love]” also a remix by Avicii.
The Reception
Amazing food that was so good, I even managed to eat! The highlight was definitely the best man/woman speeches that had the whole crowd doubling over laughing. Lots of awesome dance music and later on in the evening props tied to the Cali-nadia theme (Cali girl marries Canadian guy) appeared. These included Canadian capes and tattoos, American sequined vests, glow in the dark props and more. Instead of cake, we had delicious cookies, chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate banana protein shakes. The shakes were a hit!
Felicia’s Dress Search
I probably tried on 30 or more dresses. I loved trying on dresses. The Romona Keveza was the first dress I pinned on Pinterest and after trying to find an alternative dress due to availability and price, I found it at a trunk show and knew instantly that I had to have it. Similar to when I met my husband, I just knew.

Why Felicia Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I promised my husband that if I spent that much I would sell it afterward. That, and as beautiful as it is, I want someone else to enjoy it as much as I did.
