Vineyard weddings always get us ooh-ing and aah-ing! They’re a gorgeous combination of nature and chic sophistication. And of course: great wine and food! From the postcard pretty vineyard bridal portraits to the rustic wine barrels and mossy chuppah, Fayette and Mark’s wedding has little touches of winery goodness. It’s also the perfect location for Fayette’s fabulous floral Amsale Lexington wedding dress!
Fayette + Mark | July 27, 2013 | Charlottesville, Virgina | Dress Listing: Amsale, Lexington
The Ceremony
Our ceremony was an interfaith Jewish-Christian one, complete with a ketubah ceremony, chuppah, unity candle, the Lord’s prayer, and breaking of the glass. We created the ceremony ourselves choosing the most important aspects of each of our faiths. The result was a very balanced and personal ceremony. The ceremony was held outdoors on the front lawn of a historic country estate between a beautiful garden fountain and the vineyard.
The Reception
The decor theme was simply elegant art nouveau peacock. The cocktail hour and reception were held under a grand Sperry tent. We served hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail reception and for the meal we decided on a plated salad and four food stations. We wanted our guests to mingle during the dinner hour.
Fayette’s Dress Search
I tried on about six gowns at one bridal shop. I then ran across pictures of the Amsale Lexington peplum gown in a bridal magazine and found a bridal shop that carried it. After trying it on at Belle Vie, my mother and I absolutely fell in love with it!

Why Fayette Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
We justified the expense of the gown by planning to sell it after the wedding.
