I love it when a girl has a special connection with a wedding dress. Estefania spotted her dress right around the time she started dating her future husband, Frank. When the couple got engaged a few years later, she found the dress again and knew it was meant to be. It was the perfect gown for their intimate sunset wedding in Mexico.

The Ceremony
Our ceremony took place at sunset under a beautifully decorated gazebo surrounded by the ocean and exotic flowers while in tune with a guitar trio that serenaded as I walked down the isle. Originally, the plan was to get married barefoot on the beach, but due to the forecast on our wedding day we had to relocate to the gazebo three hours before the ceremony was scheduled. What we thought a catastrophe, turned out to be perfectly magical. Our day was shared with 40 of our guests who came from New York and Argentina to witness our union.
The Reception
Following the ceremony the amazing staff at Paradisus escorted our guests to the outdoor cocktail hour for refreshing cocktails and delicious hors d’oeuvres. The indoor reception hall was perfectly decorated in tones of gold, blush and sangria setting the ambiance for an elegant and romantic evening.
Estefania’s Dress Search
I saw my dress online by chance a few months after my husband and I began dating. Almost two years later when we got engaged, I remembered that dress from two years earlier and began to look for it. I was glad to learn that Cloisonné was still part of the continuing collection and would be present at the Claire Pettibone trunk show at Kleinfeld in NYC the following month. I made an appointment and tried on seven dresses that day since I was already there, but I knew the second I tried on the Cloisonné–of course–that I’ve found the one. As an added bonus, I got to meet lovely Claire Pettibone in person.

Why Estefania Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I fell in love with my dress the moment I saw it. On our wedding day I felt so beautiful that at the end of the night I didn’t want to take it off. I keep telling my husband to marry me again as an excuse to wear my dress once more, ha! I would rather see another bride wear the dress and feel as special as I did on her wedding day, than keep it in a box. I believe that something as beautiful as this dress should not be kept in the dark, much less only to be worn once.
