Held on the tropical Anini Beach on the north shore of Kauai, Erica and Tyler kept it intimate, having just a close selection family witness their wedding and even sharing their beach house venue with their guests. To suit the stunning scenery, Erica wore an incredible lace Galia Lahav gown, and Tyler wore a light linen suit. Surrounded by ocean and orchids they wove in many traditional Hawai’ian customs into their ceremony, including drinking from a coconut. Such a romantic wedding.

The Ceremony
Our very intimate ceremony just included our immediate family. The whole family stayed at the Anini Beach House for the week, and we married on the lawn overlooking the ocean. It was a traditional ceremony with many spiritual Hawaiian elements. Kelvin Ho delivered a beautiful, moving ceremony and everyone had tears in their eyes. Tyler and I washed our hands together from water from the conch shell to symbolize starting fresh. We also drank together from a fresh coconut (Kelvin cracked the coconut in front of everyone as part of the ceremony).
It rained all morning on the day of our wedding. The ceremony, dinner, and reception were all supposed to be outside on the lawn overlooking the beach. There was a lot of last minute scrambling getting tents, moving the bar inside, etc. The harpist did a small prayer for sunshine with Tyler before the ceremony, and minutes after that the clouds parted right before the ceremony was scheduled to start! The ceremony had clear skies and we were able to go ahead with the dinner on the lawn. As we were heading inside for cake, it started to rain again. The weather cooperated just long enough for the entire ceremony and reception!
The Reception
For our reception, we stayed at the Anini Beach House and had a catered dinner and bar on the lawn.
Erica’s Dress Search
I tried on probably 10-12 dresses at two locations, but I knew when I put on the dress I ended up buying that it was special.
How Erica Felt in Her Wedding Dress
Unique, special and really just stunning!
Why Erica Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I am selling my wedding dress because I don’t think a dress this beautiful should sit in the closet for the rest of its life and should be shared.
