Southern romance under a cathedral of oak trees, dainty white gloves for the ladies and a classic Anne Barge wedding gown…this is such a charming wedding. I love the montage of Elizabeth + Jonathan united out front of the old plantation home at Charles Towne Landing. Other details not to miss, Elizabeth’s subtle wardrobe updates for their modern reception, adding a beautiful black sash to her gown and wearing her hair up. Such a simple change, but super high impact. Enjoy!
Elizabeth + Jonathan | October 9, 2011 | Charleston, SC | Dress Listing: Anne Barge, LF 161
The Ceremony
We were married at the Legare Waringn House at Charles Towne Landing under the avenue of the oaks in a circular arrangement of our loved ones.
The Reception
We moved to a modern space on the property (Founder’s Hall) where we enjoyed southern food and drinks. We decorated with navy and white and had monochromatic white flowers and large white balloons as centerpieces.
Elizabeth’s Dress Search
My Anne Barge dress was the first one I really liked on websites that I looked at and the only one I loved when I tried it on…so definitely love at first sight. It fit our classic plantation ceremony and modern reception location perfectly with its classic style.

Why Elizabeth Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
It was already over the budget I had planned on, and I saved my veil for my kids or grand kids. My husband and I would like to enjoy a vacation or a new item for our house more than we would enjoy a dress in a closet!
