Elizabeth + Daniel’s Sacramento wedding is traditional with a modern twist! Such a seamless look using a crisp white and grey color scheme, baby’s breath, Chiavari chairs, mixed with bold stripped and ikat fabrics in silver…means you might not even blink when you see lampshade centrepieces with a crystal base. I love that! Don’t miss Elizabeth’s Amsale trumpet wedding gown called ‘Hampton’, also the perfect mix of classic and contemporary. The sleek, structured look of this silk wool gown and the cathedral veil are a nod to the traditional. While the one shoulder, architectural folded design of the asymmetrical neckline is deliciously unexpected and modern. Add Elizabeth’s gorgeous and glossy, side-swept old Hollywood glamor hair and there you have it – absolute perfection!

The Ceremony
The Cathedral of Blessed Sacrament – very traditional, European looking, grand cathedral in downtown Sacramento. Very old world.
The Reception
Crocker Art Museum – modern art museum with floor to ceiling windows, various art and super contemporary. The two perfectly describe us – traditional in a modern way.
Elizabeth’s Dress Search
Originally, I was thinking of an A-line dress or even doing tea-length. I always knew I didn’t want strapless. In terms of style I did a 180, when I found “the dress” a trumpet style, at Saks 5th Ave in Beverly Hills. It was the last dress of the day and I was super tired of trying on dresses. I just loved the simplicity of it and it’s architectural design and they way it fit my curves.
How Elizabeth Felt in Her Wedding Dress
Glamorous, one of a kind and happy!
Why Elizabeth Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I realize that it will just sit in a box and I have all the pictures of my day for the memories. I’m not one to be too emotional or hold onto things so it seemed best to let another bride get the same excitement I did over the dress. I just can’t see myself ever wearing it again and if we ever renewed our vows, I would just go buy another up to date dress!
