Elegant Ballroom Wedding with Parisian Style

Classic, elegant ballroom weddings have a style and atmosphere all their own. With ornate architectural details, glamorous chandeliers, and, most often, a pronounced color palette (be that from the woodwork, wallpaper, or carpeting), it can be challenging to design a wedding reception that looks and feels like you. Today, we’re in awe of this elegant wedding inspiration shoot full of Parisian style — that is, of course, because it was created in Paris.

Event designer Joy Proctor chose to start with the creation of a color palette that would fit seamlessly in the ballroom, working with a base palette of creams, gold, and picking up the lightest blue from the carpet in the venue. From there, the flowers were allowed to take centre stage. Bows & Arrows Flowers expanded upon this palette, with ballet pink, cream, mauve, a delicious raspberry toned pink, and tucking in accents of caramel. Lush floral arrangements down the centre of the table coordinate well with the elegant setting, though Bows & Arrows designed with a gardenesque style, keeping the overall look fitting for a ballroom without feeling stuffy.

Classic accents complete the tablescape design, and maintain the elegant atmosphere. A combination of tall taper candles and pillar candles bring warmth (note the warm almond tone, a welcome change from basic white wax), while the ornate place settings are finished with an elegantly calligraphed personalized menu.
