The hills, glens, and moors of Scotland are absolutely captivating. Add a bride waiting patiently for her groom, and we can’t imagine a scene more romantic. Floral designer Jack Fleuriste took inspiration from the natural palette surrounding her, incorporating soft sage greens, mauves, pinks, and purples with a hint of caramel. We hope to see a lot more of this palette in the future!

“It was such a dream to photograph this old-world inspired bridal session in Edinburgh. We wanted to tell a beautiful story of young woman’s long-distance engagement, capturing the quiet and intimate beauty of longing as she ventures out to see if her lover has returned from afar and if it will finally be the day they are to be wed. We imagined our bride being from a simple upbringing’ we didn’t want her to be too polished but as natural and raw as possible – styled with some understated, feminine pieces from Gossamer, organic-looking makeup and messy locks.
Arthur’s seat was the perfect backdrop for our love story – it is a stunning peak of a group of hills (formed by an extinct volcano system) with awe-inspiring views overlooking all of Edinburgh. We wanted to showcase the stunning landscape & Scottish grown florals, sticking with a palette of gem tones, reminiscent of the breathtaking heather & thistle that is scattered all over the moorland, glens and hills of Scotland.”
