Mmm…white sandy beaches, warm sun, swaying palm trees…if you live in an area where winter is in full force right now like I do, chances are you are dreaming of a chance to escape the cold! But if you can’t get away, why not use photos to get you there? Christine and Christopher chose gorgeous Playa Mujeres in Mexico to host their destination wedding. Accents of lilac and purple popped against the white sand and light blue water, and I love the architectural and futuristic bridal portraits taken around the grounds of The Beloved Hotel!

The Ceremony
We held a small destination wedding with only our closest friends and family. Our ceremony took place at sunset on the Playa Mujeres beach in Mexico.
The Reception
After cocktails on the beach, we held a dinner reception in a beautiful open air restaurant on the resort. The restaurant opened up to palm trees on one side, and a view of the ocean on the other. We worked with Planner 1 Events to create a soft lilac and ivory, beach-themed wedding ceremony.
Christine’s Dress Search
From the beginning we knew we’d have a destination wedding, so I started searching for casual, light weight, flowy gowns. I tried on at least a dozen dresses but hadn’t found one that felt special enough to walk down the aisle in. Finally at Jaehee Bridal, a boutique in New Jersey, I was brought an A-line dress to try on. One that was completely opposite from what I’d been searching for. After putting on the dress I just knew it was the one. It had a full skirt with a long train, yet felt quite light – as if it was floating on air. I felt like a princess in this dress and finally felt like a bride.

Why Christine Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I know I will always have these gorgeous photos to remember how I felt on my wedding day. I truly hope this dress can give someone else the experience of feeling as special and as beautiful as I did walking down the aisle.
