Lace, satin, historic Chicago architecture and Carrie + Brian as the beautiful bride and groom…this wedding is brimming with glamor and elegance. I love that the reception took place in the Chicago Cultural Center, home of the world’s largest glass Tiffany dome; as Carrie describes, Preston Hall is truly ‘jaw-dropping’. Don’t miss Carrie’s figure flattering , two-piece Monique Lhuillier gown and her bridesmaids’ contrasting strapless floor length dresses in sapphire blue. Enjoy!
Carrie + Brian | April 6, 2013 | Chicago, IL
The Ceremony
Fourth Presbyterian Church – Historic church on Chicago’s Magnificant Mile (Michigan Ave). Beautiful church, with amazing architecture…and a very long aisle, 2 trumpets played Trumpet Voluntary while bride and father walked down aisle. Goose bumps!
The Reception
Elegant, Fabulous. Cocktail hour took place in GAR Hall in Chicago Cultural Center, then guests walked upstairs to the jaw-dropping Preston Bradley Hall. Preston Bradley Hall has the World’s largest glass Tiffany dome.
Carrie’s Dress Search
I knew I wasn’t a “ball gown” bride, but I also didn’t have an exact idea in mind of how I wanted my dress to look. I spent 1 very full day looking for my dress with my mom and found it at Ultimate Bride in Chicago… I fell in love with 3 dresses that day at Ultimate Bride – a lace dress, a satin one, and the one I decided on (which was the best of both worlds – lace top, satin skirt)!

Why Carrie Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I absolutely LOVE my dress, but I want another woman to feel the way I did that day – absolutely amazing.
