Rustic and outdoorsy, Brooke + Jerry struck the perfect balance of camp and elegance…complete with family charm, delicious comfort food, a breathtaking view of Montana’s Glacier National Park and an ivory hand beaded and embroidered silk satin bridal gown from Lazaro. I love the fleet of flower girls who took part in the ceremony, the beautifully carved bird centerpieces (handmade by a family member)…and my favorite and totally one of a kind, a s’more station at the reception! With summer just around the corner, may this wedding be in your thoughts all week. Enjoy!

The Ceremony
Our wedding was held against the majestic backdrop of Glacier National Park. My husband and I were both born and raised in Montana and we share the same love for hiking in Montana’s great mountain wildernesses. We therefore chose a mountain theme for our wedding for 140 of our family and friends. We incorporated many personal touches and we very blessed with perfect weather on our special day. Our amazing family offered their many talents to make our day even more memorable.
The ceremony was held at St. Richard’s Catholic Church in Columbia Falls, Montana in the afternoon. The service was presided over by the bride’s uncle and featured readings from the bride’s grandfather and the groom’s father as well as harp music played by the bride’s cousin. The beautiful wood church was accented with floral pew decorations and an alter arrangement which included hydrangea, pheasant feathers, hypercium berries and ferns. We also had a “walk down memory lane” with childhood pictures on the pews of the bride and groom getting older as you progressed down the aisle.
The Reception
The reception was held just outside of stunning Glacier National Park amongst the forest at
Great Northern Resort. The area provided a beautiful natural setting complemented by a large lighted tent and stone patio floor. Guests were greeted by a beautiful wooden arch, s’more bar, family wedding photos display, and coloring table for the many young guests. The bride and groom made decorations and included items found in nature. The groom’s grandfather carved dozens of wooden birds for centerpieces as well. The bride’s aunt and cousin made the cake. At the end of a night full of country swing-dancing guests were treated with favors of homemade chocolate chip cookies and chocolate bonbons.
Brooke’s Dress Search
Since I’ve never been into the big ballgown or lace I knew my dress search was going to
be a bit of a challenge. I wanted something that was easy to move in and figure flattering while still being finely made and having just the right amount of sparkle. I searched magazines as well as the Internet to find just the right dress and finally came upon Lazaro’s 3607. I tried it on and knew it was perfect for me, it was even better in person than in the photos, and the beading was amazing.

Why Brooke Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I loved my dress, it was the perfect gown for me and made me feel like the most beautiful
version of myself on my wedding day. I don’t believe in saving it for my daughters, I think they should have their own dress that best fits their personality. I hope that someone can enjoy the gown as much as I have, it is far too beautiful to only be worn once.
