Brittany + Mike are such an endearing couple celebrating in Cancun, Mexico with their super cute son and 58 of their closest friends and family. I’m such a fan of destination weddings, especially in January…the perfect escape and an awesome way to kick off a new year. Don’t miss Brittany’s Hayley Paige strapless chiffon bridal ball gown called Coco, the Swiss dot and lace corset bodice with pleated detail is so romantic. Enjoy!

The Ceremony
We got married on January 23, 2014 at the amazing Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in beautiful Cancun Mexico! The Ceremony was a relaxed ceremony on the beach looking out on the ocean. We were surrounded by 58 of our closest family and friends, and Mike’s aunt performed the ceremony for us. The groomsmen looked handsome in their grey pants, white shirts and suspenders and the bridesmaids were glowing in their off white dresses, turquoise jewelry and they carried gorgeous bouquets of anemones and ranunculus. Our son was by far the star of the show as he carried the rings down the aisle in his adorable suit with vest and bow tie. My dad walked me down the very long sandy aisle and as the wind blew my veil and dress flowed beautifully.
The Reception
The Reception was even better than I always dreamed. With clear acrylic tables, silver chiavari chairs and the most amazing tall centerpieces made of all white flowers, all on a terrace overlooking the ocean, it was stunning. We added some Mexican touches with papel picado above the dance floor and custom maracas to shake. Before we kicked off the dancing we took turns smashing the “i do” piñatas; so much fun!
Brittany’s Dress Search
I always thought I wouldn’t be one of those brides who knew when she found the dress; I thought I would love every dress I tried on. My sister, my sister-in-law, my mom and I headed on a girls weekend to the city for wedding dress shopping. The first day we headed to our first appointment of the day, when we walked in I spotted the Hayley Paige Coco dress; it was so unique and beautiful. I thought there was no way it would be in my budget but I just had to try it on! I tried on a few dresses and as I expected I liked every one of them. At this point I was worried “how am I ever going to choose just one” but then I tried on Coco and I just knew this was it! I looked like a bride, it had lace, Swiss dot (which I absolutely love), it was the ball gown I always wanted without any hint of princess and to top it all off the beautiful flowing layers made it completely appropriate for a beach! I was so completely sold! I told my mom to cancel all of the other appointments this was the one. In the months following I looked at a million more dresses and not once did I find anything comparable for me.
How Brittany Felt in Her Wedding Dress
My dress made me feel gorgeous with a little bit of sexy…but most of all it made me feel like a real bride while still being comfortable and easy to wear.
Why Brittany Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I have decided to sell my wedding dress because I would love another bride to be able to feel as beautiful as I felt on my wedding day. My dress was over my budget which made me have to readjust my spending, I hope by selling my dress someone will get to have the experience I had even if they couldn’t afford it brand new.
