When you are an international couple who has lived all over the world, what more perfect way to celebrate your marriage than introducing family and friends to your hometown? Belinda did just that, co-ordinating her vintage-glam wedding to Quinn in old Montréal, highlighting her favorite spots of the city in a ceremony and reception that represented the European elegance Montréal is known for.
Belinda + Quinn | August 16, 2014 | Montréal, Canada | Dress Listing: Reem Acra, Tianna
I’m originally from Montréal and my husband Quinn is from Connecticut. Quinn and I met in Hong Kong and lived there for five years before relocating to Singapore. When deciding on a wedding location, my husband thought my hometown Montréal would be the perfect location. Many of our out-of-town guests had never visited the French Canadian city. It was simply so amazing to have guests from across the world share our special day in my hometown. I’ve always dreamed about getting married in the ever so romantic Old Port of Montréal…and my dream came true on August 16th 2014!
The Reception
Both the ceremony and reception were held at the Science Center in the Old Port of Montréal. The venue offers a stunning panoramic view of Old Montréal. The space, although an industrial feel, is ultimately a blank canvas space for which we could build our wedding vision. Everything from the table and chairs, to the silverware had to be rented and brought into the venue! Although it was a lot of work, we were so happy with our choice because the wedding represented who we are as a couple.
Belinda’s Dress Search
The wedding dress I chose was actually the first wedding dress I tried on. I did try on many other dresses and styles before finally choosing the Tianna from Reem Acra. The other dresses I tried on were beautiful and breathtaking as well but I kept going back to the Tianna. I didn’t believe that it was actually possible to choose the first dress you try on but I immediately fell in love the very first time I tried on the Tianna. It was stunning, unique and most importantly, I felt like it was so ‘me’.

Why Belinda Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
It was a very hard decision for me to sell my wedding dress, because not only did I feel like a beautiful princess in it, but I really do LOVE my wedding dress. Just simply looking at the dress, gives me such wonderful memories of our special day. The reality is though, the dress is doing nothing packed and concealed in my closet! So why not have another bride feel just as beautiful and love the dress as much as I did?
