Ali and Art’s homespun wedding made my head spin with all of the the rustic yet feminine details. From the beautiful barn setting to the whimsical vintage outdoor seating arrangements, this farm wedding was full of gorgeous details perfectly suited to the venue. And how about that wedding day transport? A sweet ride for a super sweet bride!

The Ceremony
We got married outside with guests sitting on hay bales. It rained all morning then the sun came out and it was the most spectacular day. We had Art’s friend marry us which added a nice personal touch. We also had our nieces and nephews read out cards of what love means to them – they kept it a secret until the big day – it was adorable and amazing the things they came up with. I walked down the aisle to Bruce Springsteens song “Happy” and we walked up the aisle after we were married to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered’.
The Reception
We had cocktails out on the lawn with games, canapés and signature cocktails. We then moved to a marquee where we had three long tables and a family style meal whilst speeches were on. The food was out of this world and everyone is still talking about it. We then had a 9-piece band inside the barn that kept everyone dancing all night. Bobby Lynch and his band were amazing, he even scaled the rafters in the barn and danced away!
Ali’s Dress Search
I wanted a dress that made me feel elegant, yet was comfortable. I am usually quite low maintenance so I didn’t want a dress where I felt restricted and couldn’t dance and kept having to pull it up etc. I came across Jenny Packham and knew the Eden dress was the one I wanted.
It was the first dress I tried on – but I then tried on a few others as I was struggling with the cost but nothing compared. I figured that you spend so much money on a wedding: why not just get the dress you love and feel amazing in? I am so glad I chose it.

Elegant, fun and stylish.
Why Ali Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
It was the deal I made with my husband when we bought it. I would love for someone else to enjoy it as much as I did. Had there been a second hand dress for sale when I was looking I absolutely would have bought it as the dresses are only worn for such a short amount of time and if you can save almost $2000, why wouldn’t you?
