Alexandra knew she wanted to get married in Manhattan. After she “dragged Michael around to every single venue!” they both instantly fell in love with the Palace for their black tie nuptials. Traditional yet modern elements, gilded, timeless and glam, it was the perfect venue for their elegant affair. Adding stunning florals, romantic candles and attention to every detail, Alexandra and Michael hosted the wedding of their dreams.

The Ceremony
Our ceremony was a traditional Jewish ceremony incorporating a few Jewish traditions, but not too long! Our Rabbi was wonderful and really took the time to meet and get to know us several times before the wedding. This was super important to us as we wanted the person who was marrying us to be able to speak about us on a more personal level. The wedding was under a Chuppah covered in greens, white and pale flowers surrounded by our parents. The room was intimate, dimly lit, and just so beautiful being with our friends and family.
The Reception
While the Palace’s main ballroom is traditional, our decor made it feel very modern. The room was dripping in orchids and candles! We had 3 rectangle tables lining the dance floor, each with high lucite centerpieces and flowers hanging off. The tables had smaller flower assortments and candles as well. The round tables surrounding the rectangle tables had combination center pieces of high and low vases and also candles. The band was up on a platform and I don’t think there was one second the dance floor wasn’t packed!
Alexandra’s Dress Search
I tried on too many dresses! Then dress I ended up buying was the 2nd dress I ever tried on. The second I tried it on it felt super special but since it was only dress #2, I felt I had to keep looking. While trying on other dresses the original dress always stuck in my mind. I found myself comparing dresses to it, “Do I like this one better than the Reem Acra?” I finally realized that since I kept going back to it, it meant something! My Reem Acra dress was the perfect dress for me, I felt like a princess!

Why She’s Selling Her Wedding Dress
While I love my dress so much, it is just going to sit in my closet unfortunately. The dress is too beautiful, it deserves to be worn! I felt so special in it, I know other Brides would as well.
