Long before the wedding vows and first dances, there are meetings and first kisses. For Alexandra and Jonathan, what brought them even closer was a health scare for Alexandra. This couple certainly had a lot to celebrate at their wedding, which they pulled off with sophisticated style. Fluffy pink florals, classic candlelit ambience and their closest friends and family made this romantic wedding most memorable indeed. The Ceremony
Jonathan and I met on October 15, 2011 volunteering at the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes in Atlanta’s Centennial Park. We started dating shortly thereafter. On February 2, 2012, I had a seizure while at dinner and was diagnosed with stage three brain cancer two days later. Jonathan was there for my craniotomy, drove me to daily radiation and sat by my side through each round of chemotherapy. He provided so much joy, laughter and love through such a difficult time. After nine months of treatment and a year of utter bliss, we got engaged in Atlanta on November 21, 2013. He’s truly my best friend and love of my life. We’re so blessed to have found one another!
Our ceremony was at Druid Hills Presbyterian Church. I fell in love with the church’s stunning stained glass windows that let in so much light. It has such a clean, yet traditional, look with hardwood floors, pews and unbelievable stained oak ceiling. The bridal suite was enormous! The entire bridal party was able to get ready on-location. The staff was so nice and accommodating. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to get married there.
The Reception
Our reception was at Summerour Studio. We went with a modern-romantic vibe. I wanted a very clean look with lots of candles and fluffy white flowers. We focused the entire layout around the dancefloor because we wanted our wedding to be a celebration with all of our dearest family and friends.

I tried on about four dresses at one bridal salon. I fell in love with my dress because it looked like a cloud. It was so light and delicate with a cinched in waist.
