A Sweet Backyard Wedding II

outdoor wedding reception ideas

The reception was held in the neighbor’s backyard, which was really more of a meadow than a traditional backyard! It was a beautiful open space that Signature Party Rentals framed with cafe lights. Guests found their table assignments written on over-sized chalkboards. The Food Matters catered the event with an incredibly professional and helpful staff and the family-style dinner they cooked up was incredible.

Chunky wood tables and matching chairs rounded out the look of a fancy and cozy backyard dinner. We placed curly willow down the center of the tables to create the look of a natural runner. Mason jars and tiny bud vases held bright peonies, dahlias, kale, roses, and other fun florals. We also placed fruit and a bunch of candles on the tables for a warm and lush decor feel. The dance party was one of the best I’ve seen and it was lead by one of my new favorite DJs, Brian Buonassissi of B-Boy Productions. And of course, these incredible photos were taken by the fabulous Sarah Yates who is not only extremely talented but is seriously just an overall wonderful person to work with.
