I apologize for being MIA yesterday. We were on location shooting for Design Sponge(check back tomorrow for the post!) and the day seemed to get away from me, but hopefully the lovely wedding of Karen + Andrew from Q Weddings will make up for my absence. I’ve been a big fan of Austin based wedding photographer, Suzi Q, for quite a while now, so naturally I’m thrilled about the opportunity to feature some of her work today on Once Wed…
Three Points Ranch near Marble Falls, Texas was the the location for Karen and Andrew’s rustic contemporary wedding. The venue is a former ranch, down an old country dirt road. There are a number of old Airstreams there, all restored with vintage furnishings. They are a perfect place to get ready for the big day. Also a great place for guests to take a nap or have their photo snapped.
The ceremony was out in beautiful Hill Country. Karen and Andrew gave away tambourines as favors and at one point everyone joined in with happy singing. Andrew is a filmmaker, so he had several fellow filmmaker friends documenting the day with 8mm. It makes sense that Karen and Andrew hired me. I shoot film and use lots of vintage cameras. I had a great time geeking out with the filmmakers over the joys of film.
Stay tuned for Part II of their wedding coming up next!
