The Ceremony
I have always wanted to get married outside and The Barn at Bay Horse Inn had the most beautiful outdoor venue. The ceremony was set up facing the woods with a beautiful wooden pergola that my florist draped with greenery and flowers. It looked straight out of a movie! The barn provided a donkey named Tony that wore a fancy sack filled with our wedding programs. Such a fun little touch that guests loved! The best part about the ceremony was that the rain held off until it was time to go inside and party! My photographer snapped some breathtaking pictures as the clouds were rolling in.
The Reception
The ceremony and reception were held at the same venue which made it easy for guests. We held a cocktail hour outside while my good friend, a violinist, played music. The reception started soon after with guests being greeted by beautiful wooden chairs and tables draped in greenery, white and light pink floral arraignments. Candles, mercury glass and my own homemade moss numbers were delicately placed on tables as well. It was a plated dinner and an open bar. I loved that the bar was separate from the main room and inside that room we set up a dessert table with local Indianapolis donuts (homage to Kyle) and local Lansing, Michigan popcorn (homage to me) and they also happen to be two of our favorite treats!

I tried on too many dresses to count probably over 100. I know what I like and I am very picky! I traveled to over 5 states just to visit bridal boutiques. I gravitated towards the mermaid style while my mom and 3 sisters preferred a ball gown style, but I just felt like I got lost in a ball gown style it was too big for my frame. Once I tried on the Monique Lhuillier gown we all fell in love. It was the perfect amount of elegant and sexy. The lace was delicate and the sweetheart neckline with a draped back was unique. It was comfortable and easy to move in. Plain and simple I felt beautiful. I also hand designed a wedding belt to add a little sparkle to my look. It was truly the perfect compliment to my dress.

I absolutely love my dress and I want someone else to feel just as beautiful wearing it as I did on my wedding day. I would rather see another bride rock that stunner than keep it in my closet for the rest of my life. I know that whomever buys it will not be disappointed.
