Jenna + Joseph | February 21, 2015 | Lake Weir, Florida
This wedding is simple and lovely. We love the oh -so-charming venue and the couple’s casual relaxed style. Jenna’s Hayley Paige Kira was the absolute perfect gown for her day. Pretty and fun, it’s no wonder it’s already been snapped up by another bride ready to love it again.
The Ceremony
Our ceremony was outdoors on a crisp and sunny Florida winter day at a cozy inn called The Nest on Lake Weir. It was performed by the Groom’s best friend beneath a “couple” of oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. The guests sat on benches facing Lake Weir and could see the sun beginning to set over the Groom’s shoulder. During the vows an unexpected party boat came cruising by and the ceremony was paused for everyone to wave.
The Reception
The reception was also held at The Nest on Lake Weir. Dinner was served outdoors, under the giant oak trees lit with cafe lights and candle-lit chandeliers. Guests enjoyed a mac-n-cheese bar and pulled pork sliders from one of the couple’s favorite restaurants, Yellow Dog Eats. Cupcakes were served for dessert and the rest of the night was spent dancing on the dock and the beach. The couple’s first dance was a traditional slow song, interrupted by Walk The Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” and all the guests rushing onto the dock to join them.
Jenna’s Wedding Dress Search
I went to four locations and tried on about 15 dresses. After I put on “the dress” I didn’t need to try any more. I choose Hayley Paige’s Kira because of it’s simple beauty, vintage style and because it felt like me (or a princess version of me!). The dress was by far the most comfortable that I had tried on. I was extremely comfortable during my ceremony (I had leggings on underneath to keep warm) and was able to sit, mingle and dance with ease at my reception.

Why She’s Selling Her Wedding Dress
I didn’t want her to stay cooped up in my closet forever. She is so beautiful and perfect and she deserves another day! Plus I want another bride to be able to afford her dream dress.
