This Rivini, Amahlia wedding gown is so pretty! And as today’s featured bride points out, the contrast of the smooth satin bodice with mermaid style skirt made from layers of ivory silk, is put together so elegantly and worn so effortlessly. We love Emily’s playful pink flowy sash – a perfect compliment to whimsical decor details like calligraphy style menus and place cards, blush linens and Parisian glass wear. Enjoy!

The Ceremony
Our ceremony was outside underneath a gorgeous and gigantic oak tree, surrounded by bright green ivy growing over trellises. There was an old mission style building with a beautiful cobblestone courtyard as the backdrop for our cocktail hour. The ceremony was simple and elegant, which led into the reception that had a more elevated, classic twist with beautiful blush pink linens and white and peach florals. Windows surrounded the entire room with a view of the Sonoma golf course.
The Reception
Our wedding reception was held at the Sonoma Golf Club in the ballroom that had wrap around windows and French doors with views of the beautiful golf course and oak trees. The table decor was simple and timeless, draped in blush linens and ivory linen hemstitch napkins, etched Parisian glasses and glassy babies for the candle holders from San Francisco to help illuminate the room. I had my calligrapher write the menu and the place cards so that it all tied together, topped off with a simple olive branch sprig on each plate since olive trees surrounded the property. The flowers were all arranged in Silver urns, they were simple shades of creams, and blush with pops of greenery to add a more natural feel. Once dinner was over they opened up all the French doors which led out to a beautiful veranda which held the bar, as well as intimate seating areas for scotch and cigars for the guys.
Emily’s Dress Search
I tried on about ten dresses total, from two different bridal boutiques. I knew instantly that my dress I ended up with was the one! I loved its simplicity and its timeless appeal. I also loved the contrast of the smooth satin bodice and the luscious silk-layered bottom topped off with the flowy and feminine blush pink sash. The quality of the fabric was unmatchable! I wanted a dress that I could wear…. not one that wore me!!
