This Vera Wang Fiona gown is equal parts striking + whimsical! The contoured, figure flattering bodice made of stretch mikado silk is dramatic and architectural, while the bias-cut, layered organza skirt provides a frothy air of femininity. Such artistry! And just as Nicole’s gorgeous couture gown marries architecture and airiness, so does this couple’s beautiful Catholic Cathedral ceremony venue and industrial loft style reception space. Thanks for sharing Nicole + Andrew and congrats!

The Ceremony
Having both grown up as practicing Catholics, our faith is incredibly important to us and there was no doubt we would be married in the Catholic Church. We were lucky enough that Nicole was a member of St. Clement, as there is a long wait to be married in this masterpiece of art and architecture, hoping she would one day be married there. The priest truly made the ceremony by injecting personal jokes about the couples Packers/Bears football rivalry. Many guests raved about the breathtaking cathedral space and intimate feel of the ceremony.
The Reception
Our reception took place at Kendal College, culinary school that is a raw loft space with city views and culinary excellence through student staff. It was the perfect, affordable space I had always dreamed of. The food and service from cutting edge staff was spectacular and we loved the large industrial windows, exposed bricks and the incredible views.
Nicole’s Dress Search
I tried on about twenty dresses and I chose the Vera Wang gown because I felt like a celebrity walking on a red carpet, it felt like it was made to hug my curves. My mother and sister cried and it was the only dress that everyone got emotional about.

Why Nicole Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I want someone else to feel as beautiful as I did on my wedding day. I believe that everyone should be able to afford to wear something extravagant and designer just once in their life and why not on their wedding day. I worked at Vera Wang all through college and love her gowns, never did I think I could afford a VW dress but with this site and the option of resale, anything is possible.
