Liora + Eric’s special day comes to us from Woodbury, New York – a classic and traditional Jewish wedding complete with a gorgeous Jim Hjelm ball gown. Designed exclusively for the runway, this dress is perfect for someone looking to wear something that is one of a kind (or has a love affair with silk tulle – swoon!). Don’t miss the immaculate details on Liora’s wedding dress…plunge back or all ten layers of ivory silk tulle with a top layer of tulle detailed with strips of hand sewn chiffon silk. Pure romance!

The Ceremony
Our ceremony took place inside the temple at Woodbury Jewish Center. As our guests entered the venue the entry table was decorated with a large centerpiece made of beautiful branches and adorned with our 1920’s themed engagement photos taken in an old movie house. Before I knew it, I was walking down the aisle with my parents to the Hebrew prayer “Boei B’shalom” set to the tone of Botticelli’s “Time to Say Goodbye.” My parents gave me away to Eric, the Rabbi sang some prayers, we exchanged rings, then Eric shattered the glass with his foot and we were married! It all went by so quickly; it’s a beautiful memory.
The Reception
Our reception got started with our first dance, which we choreographed and practiced for two months straight. We began our dance to “Overjoyed” by Matchbox 20, and for an added twist switched to “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody” by Fergie. It was an unforgettable night; there were flaming hats, confetti guns, belly dancing, bhangra dancing, and so much more! We never stopped dancing.
Liora’s Dress Search
I went to all the major Bridal Salons in NYC and Long Island. I was told over and over that getting a dress in less then 4 months would be close to impossible. After trying on over a dozen dresses at these salons, I had to give up on them. I started looking at sample dresses. I went to a small boutique salon in NYC and this was the first time I felt the sales person listened to me. I immediately fell in love with this Jim Hjelm ball gown. As my mom zipped up the back of the dress I knew I had found the exact dress I was looking for…it was so different and unique, it really suited my personality.

Why Liora Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
Since the dress was a runway sample, it is a one of a kind. I love my dress very much, but I want another bride to experience the same feelings I felt on my wedding day. I never wanted to take my dress off because I felt to fabulous!
