A chic palette of silver, creams and neutrals accented the major theme of Lauren and Mark’s wedding perfectly: a serious dance party! Not much stopped this couple and their guests from getting down as the night went on. Seems like this dynamic duo barely paused for the cake cutting before heading back out onto the dancefloor. Looked like an incredible night!

The Ceremony
Our wedding ceremony was on a rooftop overlooking the ocean. The ceremony itself was romantic and lighthearted. In fact, my personal favorite part of the whole wedding was the ceremony. It felt so special, and personal, and Alice, our celebrant did an INCREDIBLE job. Everyone was laughing the whole time, it felt perfect. We chose the venue because of its simplicity. It was a one stop shop! We felt like it was a vacation destination even though it was still in NY. It felt like we were in Miami or something amazing. When we first started dating, one of our favorite vacations together was Miami, so I’m sure there was some nostalgia in the decision.
The Reception
I have two words: DANCE PARTY!
The reception was incredible. We wanted a sexy romantic vibe, and boy did we get that. Owen, our DJ made sure the dance floor was packed the entire time. Literally everyone danced the entire time, and we played music from all generations, including Motown which got everyone super excited right off the bat. We served farm-to-table fresh food, a spin on traditional wedding fare. Steak, chicken and fish were served but they were incredible, and different. We felt really proud of the food being served! Of course, the cocktails were flowing! We even had an after-party that isn’t pictured where we served mini finger foods and more drinks back on the roof, with some hand-rolled cigars.
Lauren’s Dress Search
I tried on about 100 dresses. This one just felt right. It was a little traditional and a little sexy. The lace detail has little stars on the lace, and it felt traditional with a twist — just like me. The dress is the Lyon style, but the top was custom designed with Anna Maier’s head designer in NYC and is different from the runway look.
