Friday the 13th may be infamous for being unlucky, but it was a date filled with nothing but joy and happiness for Colleen and Brendan. The couple celebrated their gorgeous wedding day in Chicago, the city where the two first met.
Brendan and Colleen’s relationship began one fateful night when the two were out at a pub in Lincoln Park. Colleen found an excuse to approach Brendan and the two have been together ever since.
Colleen spent the morning getting ready with her mom and wedding party. The bridesmaids wore gowns in a matching shade of lavender with the neckline and style of their choice. The bride-to-be teared up while reading an emotional leader from Brendan and toasted to the rest of her life with her girls at her side.
The groomsmen wore black tuxedos and showed off their fun, colorful patterned socks adorned with animals, tropical patterns and sports teams. Brendan stood out with a white tuxedo jacket with black collar.
Guests attended an emotional ceremony at a Roman Catholic church in Chicago’s West Loop. After the newlyweds exchanged vows, everyone celebrated their reception under a tent on a beautiful spring day. Family and friends found their seating assignments tied to ribbons on a wall of greenery and took their seats at all-white tables decorated with votive candles, a bottle of wine, and season greenery.
The dance floor was on fire after the newly married couple shared their first dance as everyone danced the night away to music from a live band. Colleen slipped off her heels and traded them in for flipflops to keep the party going.
