Here’s one of the most charming and beautiful weddings I’ve ever seen. The little white church where Leanna and Patrick married overlooks the San Francisco Bay. The antiques store in downtown San Francisco where they celebrated with family and friends created one of the most unique reception venues, and some fabulous photographs, too. If you’re looking for inspiration that’s fresh, different and completely gorgeous, you are going to love today’s Real Wedding!
Leanna + Patrick | May 7, 2011 | Tiburon & San Francisco, California
The ceremony
We had our ceremony at the historic landmark, Old St. Hilary’s Chapel in Tiburon. It was absolutely the most stunning location to get married. The little white chapel located at the top of a hill overlooking the bay was breathtaking. Despite battling typical windy conditions with my veil flying everywhere, this chapel proved to be the best place to exchange vows on our special day.
The reception
Imagine finding a venue filled with 16th century French antiques in the middle of downtown San Francisco. The Ambiance Antiques Showroom was just what we were looking for to host our reception for 65 guests. It was a phenomenal space with amazing lighting by antique chandeliers and sconces. It was the ideal setting to have a lovely sit-down meal with friends and family while still leaving ample space by the stage for our musical entertainment and dance party. Patrick and I felt like royalty in this unique setting – a true jewel in the heart of the city.
How Leanna felt in her wedding dress
Elegant, beautiful, stunning
Why she decided to sell her wedding dress
Let’s not lie. I LOVED my wedding dress. If I could, I would wear it all day everyday. But that’s simply not practical. Besides, what good would such a lovely gown do sitting in a box in my closet. It’s worth so much more. So, I decided I simply had to share my dress with another deserving bride. Every bride should feel amazing in her gown. My hope is that someone will get to wear this dress at their wedding and will feel as gorgeous as I did on our special day.
