Sarah and Mark wanted an afternoon in Bernal Heights (a gorgeous neighborhood in San Francisco) for their engagement session – something that would really reflect their casual, relaxed personalities. They were nervous about getting their photos taken, but (once like a spark) photography made sure they look amazing!
From Ashley at (once like a spark): Sarah and Mark met on a blind date in a dive bar in Sarah’s neighborhood in San Francisco – they’ve been together ever since! In the course of planning their wedding, they realized they had very few photos of just the two of them. The ones they did have were taken by one of them with an arm outstretched. These two are very, very low-key, and just aren’t the kind of people who stop and ask someone to take a picture. They’re always hesitant to talk about themselves, or put themselves as the center of attention – which is hard in planning a wedding! Engagement photos were a big step for them, and they knew they wanted the photos to look natural. They loved that the day of their engagement photos just felt like hanging out on any other day – except with more makeup!
