A Southern engagement session in Lake Lure, NC
Does this engagement session look a little familiar? If you’re a Dirty Dancing fan (which I totally am), this is the location where the movie was filmed! The Boys Camp (today, it’s called Firefly Cove) closed its doors in 1982, and the filmmakers loved the setting and landscape, so they used the camp’s original cabins, gym and dining hall in the movie.
Laura was born up North, but she proclaims to be a Southerner through and through. Satchel proposed to Laura in Lake Lure, so of course they had their engagement session with Jen Yuson Photography there. The location is so romantic and bursting with Southern charm!
