Pastel Wedding Color Palette Inspiration

Selecting your wedding color palette is one of the most important aesthetic decisions that you’ll make for your wedding. Your chosen hues should work well with the venue while also fitting with your personal style. It’s no surprise that our hearts always fall for a pastel palette. Every color in the rainbow has a pastel version – giving you plenty of versatility to combine just the right hues for you. Whether you’re working in just a touch of pastel to your wedding colors or choosing a completely soft and light color scheme, this editorial will help you find out which hues you’re most drawn to. Bluey grays? Blush and ballet pinks? Caramel yellows? Play with your palette and find a color combination you love — we’re willing to bet there will be at least a touch of pastel in there somewhere.

Some of our favorite weddings and wedding inspiration photo shoots have featured a pastel wedding color palette. Need more inspiration? “One of the most rewarding aspects of planning a wedding is being intentional with the color palette of one’s day, from decor to details to the dress. Every choice matters and compliments each other, adding to the overall aesthetic and design concept of the wedding day. Most importantly, each aesthetic decision contributes to the overall story being told by the various textures, shapes, and colors throughout the design of the wedding.

The pastel color palette is one of the most popular among brides, and for good reason: these beautiful, soft colors add richness and beauty to their day, while keeping the general palette calming and subtle. The story they tell is one of soft and serene romance. This editorial is inspired by the idea of continuing that pastel palette beyond the wedding day–to the honeymoon. We love the idea of embracing subtle color in our surroundings and sartorial choices. Be it a fantastic pair of rose-colored corduroys or a velvety bodysuit, an outfit with some blush is never a bad idea.

On your wedding day, you get the opportunity to carefully curate every aesthetic choice; why not use these skills to live a beautiful life? Intentionally styled and thoughtfully curated, be it in the form of a honeymoon wardrobe, interior design, or floral choices, will make your wedding day, and life beyond, that much more thoughtfully executed and beautifully lived.”
