Lilac season is too short. We love the luscious blooms and rich scent this beautiful flower produces in the spring, and although we’re enjoying warm summer days, we miss it. Luckily, we have Sarah Winward, Rylee Hitchner, and Martha Hatfield here to take us back to the milder days of spring with a little wedding inspiration shoot in honor of lilac season.
From Sarah:
We were inspired by spring, the lilacs in bloom, and the delicate texture of all the spring flora. I love that all of the blooms here have such intricate shapes. This color palette is a contract to the really bright color palettes that are sometimes present in the spring, but it is deeper and moodier. Perfectly fitting to me for a world that is just coming out of winter, and is dark in color from being wet with spring’s rain.
Notice that amazing lilac arch? Well, come back tomorrow for the full tutorial from Sarah on how to recreate it for your wedding day!
