We always go weak at the knees when we see wedding photos sent to us from around the world, and in particular, the incredible style that European weddings exude. So with today’s editorial, we thought this would be the perfect time to show you how to create a European-inspired wedding style.
Venue: It all starts with a gorgeous venue! If your city has incredible architecture that looks as though it could have been part of Italy or France, then you’ve found the perfect spot. These photos were captured at The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco , which was inspired by ancient Roman and Greek architecture.
Color Palette: We always suggest taking a cue from your venue for your color palette. With the soft sandy and grey tones of the stone architecture, a neutral palette feels both well-suited and elegant. Adding in fresh greenery brings it all to life.
Calligraphy Details: If you’re dreaming of a European-inspired wedding style, then one thing you cannot forgo is beautiful calligraphy. It brings a historic element to the design, and if you add in an elegant wax seal or deckled edges on your invitations, then your wedding stationery will come together even more beautifully.
The Dress: While you should always choose the dress that makes you feel the best about yourself, we think this simple gown is an incredible choice. It doesn’t try to compete with the glory of the surroundings, making it stand out because of its simplicity. The bride kept her hair and makeup minimal as well, emphasizing the timeless quality of her style.
