Yesterday we featured Part I of this fall wedding colors shoot which was pretty much the ceremony part. We get a lot of requests to see more ideas for indoor weddings and how to bring the outside in. Its hard not to love an outdoor wedding but between weather and location sometimes its just more practical to have your wedding inside. If you find yourself caught between loving the look of outside and the convenience of a roof and central heating, these are some ideas for you. 🙂
- If possible, find a venue with lots of natural light. Natural light is a big part of what makes those outdoor pictures you love so pretty. Big windows also instantly connect you with the outdoors.
- Also (you and/or your photographer) can find some spots on the property or even down the road with some beautiful outdoor places to take pictures. They’ll look so much better than indoors, especially if you’re in a place with fluorescent lighting. And it’ll give you some time away from it all to be with your new spouse in a beautiful place to really enjoy the moment.
- Bring nature inside! This is especially easy to do in the fall when the foliage is begging to be on display but really, any season has tons to offer by way of (free!) decor. Use clippings from your yard and even the side of the road to bring a natural and wild quality to an otherwise sterile space.
