From Stylist/Planner Tamara Nicole:
Our inspiration from the shoot came from the dress by Jonathan Simkhai. It is textured, flowy, with modern patterns, layers and so dreamy! This is how our Modern Boheme (a person with artistic interests who disregards conventional standards of behavior) theme developed. From there we wanted to bring in some fun spring colors with contrasting pops of black, as well as some bohemian textiles. The modern geometric dishes were the perfect match to elevate the tables.

The flowers totally blew me away; from the impressive floral installation to the simple buds on the table, to the huge romantic gradual ombre bouquet. We played on the boho vibe with the loose updo on Brea, with its cascading multiple buns. Soft and natural makeup with a small hint of a smokey eye completed the look. The fun pop of black with the tassel earrings was perfect to tie it all together. Our groom Marcus wore a modern slim fit suit, softened by a pale yellow tie. Rings were modern designs with a yellow diamond.

The cake had great modern proportions, contrasting with the wild flowers shooting out, and the ruffled pattern of fondant on the bottom layer. One of my favorite little details were the lemon tarts! The cocktails were a great compliment to the soft colors and the textures of the shoot – who could resist these Chamomile Whiskey Sours, comprised of blended scotch, lemon juice chamomile simple syrup, and egg whites.

The romantic bohemian inspired invitations were paired with modern style calligraphy. The vellum overlay added modern, clean feel to the romantic design. The touches of black on the table, with the taper candles, flatware, dishes really stood out  on the modern, clean, minimal table design.

From florist Amy with Gather Design Company:
I knew I wanted to create a unique installation with a blend of dried and fresh flowers, but I had never seen the venue so arrived with an open mind. When I saw the hard lines in the stairwell area, I immediately thought of softening the space with a contrasting half-moon shape. I built the frame for the arc, then wove in dried flowers, adding fresh flowers only towards the bottom. Keeping only dried flowers towards the top gave it a sense of lightness.
