The “other” royal wedding took place last weekend as the Queen’s eldest granddaughter, Zara Phillips, married her long time love Mike Tindall in Scotland.

In keeping with other royal brides, her dress was simple and classic. (And dare I say somewhat American with its sheer capped sleeves). The gown, made with ivory silk faille and silk duchess satin, was created by the queen’s favorite designer, Stewart Parvin. And because she is royal after all, she accessorized it with a stunning diamond tiara and veil.
I have to give Zara credit, getting married a few months after Kate and Will probably wasn’t the easiest thing to do. But she said “my wedding will be nothing like Kate and William’s. Kate and William’s wedding was amazing but ours will be very different.”
But if you are wondering, yes, Kate did look smashing as she attended the event.
