From Kortney Boyett Photography: “With spring approaching, we wanted to capture what is left of winter in Texas: the empty trees, cool blue tones, and the coolness in the air. The lovely bride, Trish, of Beatbox Portraits, is getting married in March and we were inspired by the natural tones of the sand, the rocky lakeside, and mountains of Eisenhower State Park. Along with a touch of muted and deep blues in the florals and design to emphasize the color of the water. The inspiration from nature kept the bridal session refreshing and feminine.”
A winter beach bridal session in Denison, TX
We started the session just before sunset as the golden sun highlighted the mountains and reflected off the water for a beautiful glow on the bride. The glow of the sun on the bride was a perfect touch to her natural hair and make-up. We wanted Trish’s hair and make-up to be simple and natural to go perfect with the surroundings. The nature captured at Eisenhower State Park is so beautiful in itself just like Trish’s beauty inside and out!
Trish’s bouquet, created by Vella Nest, was filled with multiple neutral flowers like Hellborne and Lisianthus and a touch of blush Garden Roses to add a little color. The bouquet was then topped with chiffon blue toned ribbons that billowed in the wind, imitating the waves of the lake.
Her stunning wedding gown was a steal, purchased from Whatchamacallit. It is the perfect two-toned dress with a touch of femininity in the lace and jewels. The ivory and whites in her dress remind you of the white sandy beach against the ivory-gray color of the mountains.
I was so honored to photograph Trish’s beautiful winter inspired bridal session along the shores of this beach mountain side at Eisenhower State Park! – Kortney
