Vintage Modern Bridal Inspiration with Blood Orange

When you combine vintage and modern styling, wild greenery, blood orange and neutral tones, the result is an incredible styled bridal shoot from Oh So Lovely Photography and Jayne Weddings & Events! The Flowers & Cake

Wild and whispy greenery with sporadic, light blooms was our vision. Our floral arrangements were built in an organic fashion to give them lots of movement. From the bridal bouquet to the table centerpieces, the wild greenery with light blooms created a romantic element to the shoot.

One of the most stunning elements of the entire shoot was this gorgeous cake. The messy, watercolor blue effect gives this cake an extra level of movement and brings in more color to the neutral palette. The fruits and light greenery topping the cake create a delicate contrast and tone down the brightness of the blue hue.

The Attire

The bride wore a beautiful chiffon bottom dress with a lovely lace top that perfectly complimented the wild, whispy nature of the florals. The groom wore a dark grey suit with a silver, textured tie and beautiful boutonniere with accents of deep burgundy.

DIY Details & The Tablescape

Our favorite DIY piece to create was the organically constructed backdrop. By placing strands of greenery in a wavy, organic fashion, we gave the entire shoot an extra level of movement and interest.

Ballet Inspired Bridal Session

The tablescape consists of clear, gold-edged chargers and classic white plates topped with marbled stone, a white place card written in beautiful, delicate calligraphy and blood orange and greenery accents. The centerpieces mimic the wild and organic nature of the bridal bouquet with a few smaller accents of orange throughout. The table is lined with a delicate, sheer chiffon runner and left bare otherwise.
