From Kelcy Leigh Photography: “As a wedding photographer, I am always mulling over ideas in my head that would make for fun and unique photo shoots to keep my creative soul filled! One idea that I have wanted to implement for a while is a hardcore bride wearing a leather jacket and giving off a ‘rocker chick’ vibe. I decided to use my younger sister as the model because she has a feisty personality that could bring this vision to life. When the weather here in OKC started to turn cooler, I knew that this was the perfect time to add that leather jacket and deep dark bouquet to the white tulle skirt I had hanging in my closet all summer. I used our late grandmother’s petticoat underneath to not only add volume to the skirt, but because I loved how it brought a vintage, 1930s inspired element to the whole look! My grandmother was also a little bit of a rebel, so it was only fitting to use her piece in the shoot! My makeup and hair stylist is our cousin, Whitney Coshow, so this shoot was an idea brought to life all by family! We decided on a classic, sleek hairstyle paired with smoky eyes and dark lipstick to bring out both the vintage and renegade inspirations. Leather biker boots and a heavy metallic necklace were the finishing touches needed to draw it all together. I photographed the rebel bride in downtown Oklahoma City on a crisp fall day and our visions came to life! I wanted the bride to portray that she was hardcore and rebellious, but also had a feisty, joyful side who knew how to have fun! My vision came together perfectly and I had so much fun working with my sister and cousin to create something out of the ordinary.”
