This bohemian bridal fashion shoot from Birds of a Feather Photography was designed for a bride on a budget seeking a natural, bohemian look! Their goal was to create a look that would be easily achievable for anyone. The bride wore a lace sheath dress with cap sleeves and a V-neck (a style that is flattering on most figures) that gave off a vintage vibe.
A rustic bohemian bridal inspiration shoot in St. Mary’s City, MD
We chose a dress that gave off the appeal of the 70s and one that was easy to move around in. We had a spring garden wedding in mind, and so we skipped the shoes all together letting our hippie bride feel the fresh grass between her toes. We focused on her hair and makeup, giving her big, teased waves and loose curls with a stark center part. Instead of a veil, we simply tied twine around our bride’s crown and pulled the top of her hair out a bit to provide more volume to her look. A few buds were plucked from her bouquet and added to one side of the headband for an easy, “undone” look. Where we did add elements of drama was in the bride’s makeup. Earthy green eye shadow with big lashes brought the focus to her beautiful eyes. Cranberry red lips evened out the look and added a romantic element to our bride’s final touches.
She carried a unique bouquet of white, green, brown and lavender wild flowers. Sweet Peas were a favorite flower chosen. The bouquet was tied with the same twine we used for the headband and brought the entire look together.
While our vendors did an amazing job, this was a look any bride could do on her own. – Maggie & Betty, Birds of a Feather Photography
