From Floral Designer Kelly Lenard:
“Peering down the wooded driveway to the Longue Vue House and Gardens is a sight to make any bride swoon. Soaring Live Oaks wind toward the sky, filtering dappled light below. Hillary and Keith took one look down the enchanting lane and knew it was the perfect place for their wedding. Inspired by the overgrown gardens and house in Great Expectations, Hillary dreamt of a timeless and romantic fete with authentic New Orleans flair. Longue Vue House and Gardens was the perfect venue with its traditional Southern architecture and sprawling gardens, the perfect mix of formal and wild.

The team’s vision was to create an event that was inviting and unfussy, yet elegant enough to complement the surroundings. Decor included lounge areas of garden furniture, antique urns, French chandeliers, and candelabras draped with vines. Floral arrangements of Hillary’s favorites: peonies, garden roses, and anemone were accented by flannel flower, viburnum berry, wild euphoria, and foraged elements from the grounds.

While the couple resides in California, Hillary was born in New Orleans. The area holds a special place in her and her family’s hearts. With guests coming from all over the country and abroad, it was the perfect place to celebrate their love and give their guests a true taste of the city’s culture. Some traditions included a brass band, second line parade, tarot card readings, and Southern cuisine. Mardi Gras masks handed out on the dance floor were the perfect accessory to end a night in the Big Easy.”
