It’s pretty rare for a bride to prepare for her big day without thinking about getting into shape. Here’s the thing. You can approach this wrong way, starving yourself and eating gross micro meals. That’s not very healthy. Your other option is to adopt a clean eating plan. Here’s a sample meal plan from EHealthBody.
A Sweet And Energizing Breakfast
Try a new play on a traditional breakfast, and make overnight porridge. Before you go to bed mix together:
1 Part Rolled Oats
1.5 Part Unsweetened Nut or Soy Milk
.5 Part Greek Yogurt (Full Fat Unsweetened)
A Big Sprinkle of Ground Flax Seeds
Next, stir it all together in put in a container with a lid overnight. In the morning, you can sweeten to taste with a bit of organic maple syrup. Stir in blueberries for even more nutritional boost.
A Satisfying And Crunchy Snack
For your mid morning snack, pair a tablespoon of nut butter with some celery and and apple slices. As for your nut butter, the only ingredients should be nuts and salt.
Lunch: a Fresh Seasonal Garden Salad
This is where you can let your imagination go wild. Start with a bed of greens. Next, add a mix of tasty, in season vegetables. Sweet corn, courgette, roasted beetroot, bell peppers, carrots, and tomatoes are all good choices. Top with some grilled salmon, and add lemon juice and olive oil to taste.
Add a Healthy Element to Your Afternoon Tea
Go ahead and drink that mug of tea. It’s very good for you. Just replace that pastry with a square of rich, dark chocolate. Add a clementine for health.
Take one pan and heat some coconut oil on high. Add a diced onion, grated ginger root, and a solid hit of your favorite curry powder. Stir until soft and fragrant. Add some diced tomatoes to the mix, and a can of rinsed and drained garbanzo beans. Hit with a splash of veggie stock and some salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then turn down the heat and simmer for thirty minutes. Stir occasionally.
In another pan, sautee some cauliflower rice until it’s fragrant and tender. Add chopped coriander to the curry vegetables. Toss the ‘rice’ on a plate, and over with the curry vegetables. Enjoy a lovely dinner.
Clean Eating Tips
Michael Pollen said it best “Eat real food. Not too much. Mostly plants.” The majority of your food shopping should focus on fresh produce, fresh meat poultry and seafood, nuts, legumes, and healthy grains. The fewer ingredients the better.
