New York based Tomomi Okubo has a rich history in design: Bunka Fashion School in Tokyo; patternmaker at Comme des Garçons; Parsons School of Design; and Manhattan fashion companies, including Theory and Ralph Lauren. After creating her own wedding dress, Tomomi felt all her life’s experiences finally united and Tomomi Okubo was born. The 2017 Tomomi Okubo collection takes inspiration from vintage styles, with ruffles, high necklines and layerings of European lace. With the incorporation of elements like exposed backs and minimalist skirts the vintage inspiration is elevated to a modern aesthetic for today’s brides!
