The Beauty Of Women Found In Moments Of Calm

From the planner, Anne:
This shoot was created by women in all stages of life – and was done for women who feel inspired by calm, grace, and simplicity. We lovingly called it “A Little Closer”.  The inspiration came from working with a Japanese bride, who’s natural elegance and graceful confidence moved me beyond the time spent with her for her wedding. While the leading visual theme is influenced by elements of the Japanese aesthetic, all of the finer details are solely inspired by Bonnie and Mei-Li – our two women themselves.

The color palette is considered, earthy and muted. Both the design and styling aim to convey a sense of femininity and closeness – with light playing one of the key roles overall. Aware of how light can change and transform the vibe of the space as a day passes, we essentially had two shoots: ‘Grace & Simplicity’ was shot in the morning light, and ‘Calm & Balance’ was shot closer to the golden hour of sunset.
