Think about it. The family will already be together, everyone is off of work and an iconic meal is already in the works. If you’re looking for a good time to pull off a small second wedding celebration, why not at Thanksgiving? And even cooler? Make it a surprise!
Perhaps the best part about choosing the festive day to tie the knot is that the food and decor are already chosen for you, and any time the couple has less to think about, we are all for it.
Note that these caveats come along with a wedding falling on a holiday: 1) The celebration must take place at somebody’s private residence, as most venues will close their doors this day; 2) Have a friend or family member ordained to conduct the ceremony; no one else will be working and available on Thanksgiving.
After all, what is there to be more thankful for than love?
