An artistic modern wedding in Tempe, AZ
The Tempe Center for the Arts in Arizona is a fascinating, contemporary venue for a wedding ceremony since it houses an art gallery, a theatre and a ballroom overlooking the Salt River. Tena and Simon’s February wedding played off the modern architecture of the Center with lots of fabulous teal and lime details and meaningful traditions – all captured by Photography by Verdi. Tena chose a lovely teal for her bridesmaids’ dresses (each girl chose her own dress style) that matched the peacock feather accents in the bouquets, boutonnieres and garter perfectly. Tena followed some unique traditions for her wedding day: she wore a diamond solitaire around her neck since all the women in her family did so on their wedding day; she and her sorority sisters also have a wedding day tradition, so she pinned a flower to her crinoline. One of my favorite wedding details is the “Sign In Puzzle” for guests. Tena’s dad, Randall, made it himself. Each person wrote on a puzzle piece as a keepsake for Tena and Simon!
