From Paige, the photographer:
“This is a beautiful backyard wedding I photographed in Lancaster, South Carolina. The couples’ names are Luke and Annie, and they’ve been a super in-love pair since 8th grade! After years of waiting and knowing without a doubt that Annie was the one, Luke proposed atop a beautiful mountain, and she said yes! Because Luke is a videographer, he — with the help of friends — filmed the whole thing. It was so cute!
Annie knew fairly early into the planning process that she wanted to have her wedding at home. Her inspiration? The movie “Father of the Bride,” in which a girl (also named Annie) gets married in her backyard. Their wedding was a sweet, Southern celebration with family and friends — all at Annie’s family’s private home.
Annie’s vision included a soft, neutral color palette with pops of blues, lush greenery, and wooden accents. Everything turned out beautifully! The decorations were elegant and understated in the best way. The ceremony was held in front of a gorgeous floral arch, and candles glowed under a tent as guests danced all night long.”
