Léan and I were both living in the awesome Cape Town when he asked me to marry him. We both love the Cape so much and especially the beautiful Franschhoek winelands. We always wanted to get married there and found our dream venue at Babylonstoren. We wanted a personal wedding where we can share it with our closest friends and family and stay on the venue with our family over the whole weekend. It was just that – an amazing weekend of celebration, our own love festival!
We kept the decor true to the nature of the environment and sourced all our flowers and food from the gardens of Babylonstoren! It truly is heavenly gardens, evident in our pictures.
We involved our families as much as we could (especially our siblings, in making music) as we both come from lovely big families! It was just as we wanted it. So real, natural and elegant. And to put the cherry on top – we were blessed out of our shoes with the most beautiful weather and could realise our big special dream; to set up the dance floor outside on the grass under a few naked bulbs strung between two huge oak trees! Perfection.
