Before we head out for the week to celebrate Christmas, I am sharing this gorgeous wedding submitted by Landon Jacob. The beautiful bride, Meredith, was sweet enough to share more details behind their wedding below…
We chose to have an intimate garden ceremony with only our immediate families and wedding party at a Historic House. After the ceremony we enjoyed a farm to table dinner with our ceremony guests and spent a few hours simply celebrating! Later in the evening we welcomed more guests to a cupcake reception in the carriage house on the Historic grounds. We vetoed a dj and in place enjoyed our favorite “hipster” beers to the sound of vinyl.
Our wedding was inspired by a series of images from a Tuscan style garden wedding, numerous greenery wreaths and anything with a natural bohemian flare! We wanted an intimate and casual affair from the beginning, more dinner party less traditional event.
Our favorite memories from our wedding day: we’re into collecting vintage cameras and have quite the Polaroid collection; for the same experience on our wedding day we used an instax camera to capture the ceremony and exchanged photos of ourselves before the ceremony took place. We also used these instant photos to display for our guests at a larger reception later in the day so everyone could experience the ceremony. We will always cherish these.
If I had to give advice for anyone planning their wedding I would hands down without a doubt recommend to go small and invite the people that mean the most and will always be around, the immediate family and the lifelong friends. Getting to actually spend time and have good conversations and laughs with them on our wedding day was the best. Don’t be afraid to ditch the traditions and enjoy the day!
