We feel like the of the word organic, when referring to decor at least, should be defined as working with what nature has provided you with. We love this wedding because the design and color palette was drawn from the natural landscape in Haiti. The gorgeous combination of the colors pulled from the sand, ocean, and seashells combined with textures like ferns and succulents made for an absolutely stunning, yet understated event.
Here’s more from the bride:
I’m a photographer and about 4 years ago (whew!) I was covering a Baptism and Digo was a guest. It was a textbook eyes cross, conversation sparks, situation and whether you put it on perfect timing or pure chemistry (or both), we ended up spending the whole day together and haven’t left each other since.
For our wedding, we chose to get married at Digo’s parents’ beautiful beach house north of the capital, where we had already shared countless amazing memories.
With such a gorgeous venue, I knew I wanted the decor to be understated, organic and romantic.
In terms of the colour palette and flower choices, we drew our inspiration from the surrounding environment using elements like seashells and succulents, bottles and colourful flowers. I was blown away by the final result. It was a perfect day filled to the brim with love.
