Alicia and Ian’s October wedding in Maryland featured an amazing travel theme to reflect their mutual love of globetrotting! And of course, you can’t have a travel-themed wedding without globes, which made incredible centerpieces at the reception. From Alicia Lacey Photography:
It came as no surprise that Alicia and Ian’s gorgeous wedding at Stone Manor Country Club in Frederick, Maryland was themed “Love is an Adventure” seeing as their love story started with an epic one. Alicia accepted when Ian, a near stranger, invited her on a road trip to Pittsburgh to go see the traveling rubber ducky. Not just any old duck either; this one was a gigantic, 40 foot spectacle on the waterfront in downtown. That trip built the foundation of their relationship as, well, hours in the car alone together tends to do just that! But that trip was just the beginning of their adventures with one another. Over the past three years, they’ve visited multiple cities across the US, as well as Brazil, Germany, Norway, and, of course, France, where Ian proposed at the top of the Eiffel Tower! They tied the cities that they visited in each of these countries into their unique centerpieces that were different for every day. Everywhere you looked, from their luggage tag escort cards to their wedding cake topped with a globe, had a personal touch. The bride, Alicia, clearly has a knack for detail that was perfectly executed by her talented planner, Sara Reynolds Events.
