Shelly and Patrick live in Washington D.C. but chose to get married in Savannah, where they had their first apartment together. They chose the Georgia State Railroad Museum for the ceremony space; the large, open area and exposed brick made it the perfect backdrop for their vows. Shelly and Patrick wrote their own vows, which included Harry Potter quotes, and they were married by one of Patrick’s best friends. Their reception was held at Savannah Station, which kept with the urban exposed brick theme. Music is very important to the couple, so they hired a live band for the reception to play unconventional wedding jams by bands like Blink-182 and The Beastie Boys, and guests were sent home with a soundtrack of the day (including their first dance song, “Teenage Dirtbag”). Leslie West Photography captured their celebration!
